During the 2006-2007 Lionistic year, the Lions of Wisconsin
completed four very successful Missions to Mexico. Lions from 27-E2 that
participated in one or more of these Missions are as follows: Jan Kademan and
Bob Mersch from the Menomonie Lions Club;
Wayne Ness, Janenine Linke (Wayne's
daughter) and Elroy Brummer from the Nelson Lions Club; Dr. Bob Johnson and his
wife
Mary from the River Falls Lions Club; PID Ron Duffe and PDG Lynn Steglich
from the Roberts Lions Club. If you're not afraid
of working long days and are
looking for a wonderful experience, please consider going on a future Mission To
Mexico.
An easy way for clubs to contribute to the needy children in Mexico is by
collecting school supplies at the end of this school year.
Ask the principal at
your local school if it would be okay to place boxes in the school on the last
couple of days of school to
collect such things as pencils, crayons, notebooks,
backpacks, etc., that the children might be throwing away. If you are able to
collect school supplies, we have room to store them in our storage facility in
Menomonie until we can get them to Mexico.
